HOW TO TRAIN IN CYBERSECURITY?

AFPA and CyberEdu launch goal to create thousands of cybersecurity specialists.

Through the CyberEdu approach, the CFSSI seeks to improve the consideration of cybersecurity in all French higher education courses in IT. The National Agency for Adult Vocational Training (AFPA) and the National Information Systems Security Agency (ANSSI/CyberEdu) are therefore joining forces with the aim of training 4000 specialists in one year.

CyberEdu is a project initiated by ANSSI following the publication of the White Paper on defense and national security in 2013. Its objective is to introduce the notions of cybersecurity into all IT training in France. Security can only rely on experts and each actor in the information systems chain must be concerned and involved. The objective is therefore to facilitate cooperation with cybersecurity specialists, improve vigilance and response to incidents and prevent the appearance of vulnerabilities.

L' National Information Systems Security Agency (ANSSI) is a French service created by decree in July 2009. ANSSI presents its missions as follows: “The agency ensures the mission of national authority in matters of information systems security. As such, it is responsible for proposing the rules to be applied for the protection of State information systems and for verifying the application of the measures adopted. In the field of information systems defense, it provides a monitoring, detection, alert and reaction service to computer attacks, particularly on State networks. » ANSSI provides its expertise and technical assistance to administrations and businesses with a reinforced mission for the benefit of operators of vital importance (OIV). It is responsible for promoting technologies, trusted products and services, systems and national know-how to experts and the general public. It thus contributes to the development of confidence in the uses of digital technology. Its action with different audiences includes monitoring and reaction, the development of products for civil society, information and advice, training as well as the labeling of trusted products and service providers.
