PureText, Office utility
PureText is an office utility that removes all text formatting from the clipboard. It allows you to paste text into the active window with a keyboard shortcut.
The case arises when you want to copy text from a web page or Word document and want to paste it as plain text into another application. Turns out you don't get all the formatting from the original source, PureText makes that simple.
According to the editor: Copy/cut anything you want to the clipboard, click the PureText tray icon, then paste it into any app. Better yet, you can set up a PureText keyboard shortcut to convert and paste the text for you. The pasted text will be pure and free of any formatting. After running PureText, you will see a "PT" icon appear near the clock on your taskbar. You can click this icon to remove formatting from the text that is currently on the clipboard. You can right-click the icon to bring up a menu with more options.
