Is Microsoft Windows Defender effective?
PhonAndroid, by PIERRE LE GOUPIL October 22, 2020
Windows Defender is one of the best antiviruses on the market, according to a study conducted by the German organization AV-Test.
By receiving the maximum score during the tests, the system directly incorporated into Windows 10 proves that there is no need to resort to third-party antiviruses. (Sources)
Microsoft Defender, officially called Microsoft Defender Antivirus, is an antivirus component of Microsoft Windows. Microsoft first offered the software for download as a free anti-spyware program for Windows XP. Wikipedia
Antiviruses are software designed to identify, neutralize and eliminate malicious software. Wikipedia
AV-TEST is an independent organization that evaluates antivirus and security software for Microsoft Windows and Android operating systems, based on a variety of criteria. Wikipedia (English)

It's still curious that this antivirus becomes, through the magic of the mind, in a few months the best antivirus on the market. When we know that everything in this world can be bought, Microsoft is powerful enough to “influence” the tests which claim to be the most independent and efficient on the market. Once again I very much doubt these results.

Hello
what bothers me in this article is that throughout her speech, she only praises the qualities of WD, but, because there is always a but , in conclusion (see below), it's a totally different point of view that she brings with a little publicity on Norton which can't do any harm
But for the vast majority of users, those who use their PC for work, for online shopping and banking, for communicating with friends and family, etc., Windows Defender is not enough. Since my PC contains a lot of personal and sensitive data (banking information, passwords, photos, video/music files, etc.), I don't trust a free antivirus. My number one pick of 2020 for Windows users is Norton360. It is affordable, reliable, offers many additional features and guaranteed protection against all types of malware.

Hello,
I am taking advantage of the opening of this topic to make a comment on the Microsoft Antivirus Cloud analysis of my ZHPCleaner software.
I made 23 false positive reports in one year, to Microsoft Support for just my ZHPCleaner software, with random names like Trojan:Win32/Wacatac, Trojan:Win32/Azden.A!cl, Trojan:Win32/Fuerboos.D !cl, Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.C!ml.
Obviously he refuses to take into account the permanent certificate of my software.

Good evening Nicolas,
For your information, I submitted your ZHPSuite software to Comodo for validation because it is not recognized and therefore placed in confinement. For my part it's OK
Regards
